Crafting a
Modern Liturgy

// Seminar //

'Liturgy' is a scary word for some; conjuring images of stained-glass, incense, chants, dudes in robes. But every service, whether conscious or not, has a liturgy. Injecting intention into what many of us call an ‘order of service’ brings clarity and deeper spiritual engagement to our corporate gatherings and can transform a templatey service into a deliberate liturgy. Though music, preaching, lighting, prayer, video, communion, and more, we speak a narrative. A liturgy brings these pieces together to form one coherent and cohesive artistic piece, timeless in message and relevant in telling, moving the congregation from one thought and emotion to the next.

In my seminar I walk through how liturgical elements used throughout church history help us engage with scripture and see the truths of the gospel throughout, in a way that is modern and accessible to the church culture we're familiar with. Every church tells a story, every Sunday. Let’s tell it well.
